Secondary Schools

We recently supported Ysgol Bro Morgannwg in the Vale of Glamorgan. They requested a grant for equipment, to develop boy's participation in hockey. 
Here are the boys using their new sticks at recent tournaments.

On Tuesday 18th February, the boys came 3rd in the Welsh U18s final. They have good potential and displayed some lovely hockey. The boys were very happy to use their new sticks.

Furthermore, on Thursday 20th February, Year 9/10 boys and Year 7/8 boys participated in the annual Urdd competition. The Year 9/10 team finished in 2nd place. The Year 7/8 team lost on penalty flicks in the semi-final. Friends of Welsh Hockey are proud of the boys and pleased they could provide equipment for them to fulfil these fantastic opportunities in field hockey in school.

We would like to thank Friends of Welsh Hockey for your support this year. We've been able to ensure there is opportunities for three girls 'B' teams (year 8,9,10), along with developing a boys U16 team and boys hockey lessons through new equipment. Diolch!
